The chef Ferran Adrià, promoter of the project along with his partner Juli Soler, has released today the initiative in Barcelona and explained that this new space “was conceived as a center of research in cutting-edge cuisine , to promote food culture and high-level training . “
Creating elBulli1846 will consist of an exhibition area of over 4,300 square meters, a large underground part , plus workshops and campus residence.
The name of the center, which will be one of the vertices of elBulliFoundation alludes , recalled Adrià, the number of dishes that came out of elBulli , and the date of birth of the famous chef and culinary writer Auguste Escoffier .
In addition to investment , Juli Soler and Ferran Adrià will make a donation to the Government of the land and buildings of the new space .
