The 23 concert enthusiasts place in the Gran Teatre del Liceu, the auditorium, the Palau de la Música, Razzmatazz, Apolo, Barts, & Bikini
Mil.lenni the XVII Festival of Barcelona will host, in different areas of the Catalan capital, the actions of Raphael, Micah P. Hinson, Nicola Di Bari, Roger Hodgson and Melody Gardot, among others, from this November to May.
With 90% of confirmed poster artists, the festival has presented Thursday 23 concerts taking place at the Gran Teatre del Liceu, the Auditori, the Palau de la Música, Razzmatazz, Apolo, Bikini and living room Barts.
One of the highlights of the festival will be the presence of the Orfeón Donostiarra, acting on 5 and 6 February, with a repertoire of Basque, Catalan songs, zarzuelas, Havana and soundtracks. Iran symphony concerts by Raphael, which will double in the Liceu on 21 and 22 December, as well as the performance of the secrets that will play with the Youth Orchestra Intercomarcal.
Pop indie International will be represented with concerts by Richard Hawley on November 17 who will perform his new album, ‘Hollow Meadows’, and on December 3 with the solo performance of singer Memphis usual in the event, Micah P. Hinson.
Other international artists that will be part of the festival are the godfather of funk saxophonist Maceo Parker, on March 9 at the Auditorium; Lila Down released their new album, ‘Bullets and chocolate’, in the room Barts May 21; the former member of Supertramp Roger Hodgson will perform on February 26 at the Palau de la Musica, Melody Gardot and be part of the poster to present her new jazz album, ‘Currency of Man’, on March 21 at the Auditorium.
Also performing the albino singer Salif Keita with traditional music from Mali on 21 March at the Barts and Nicola Di Bari -the room December 9 L’Auditori- and Adamo – March 3 at the Palau de la Music- act on behalf of Italian music.
As for national bands, the Spaniard musician Nacho Vegas is the most prominent and presented on January 21 at the Palau de la Música his latest album, ‘resituation’ with the company choir mixed voices Coru International Antifascist Al Altu The leads, who also participated in the recording of their album. Will follow the actions of Jaen Supersubmarina -the group in Razzmatazz- April 8, Maldita Nerea Murcia -the February 11 in Madrid L’Auditori- and Anni B Sweet – Feb. 13 in Bikini- that together the concert the singer Paco Ibáñez on November 18 at the Palau de la Música and Carlos Nunez tribute to The Chieftains of the year Dec. 30 concert, form the national party.
Catalan pop and rock will also be present again at the festival with performances by Roger Mas, who will present his new album, ‘Irredempt’ April 20 at the Auditorium; and so will, on February 4 at the Apollo, the former member of Antònia Font Joan Miquel Oliver Pegasus and Joan Dausà, who triumphed last year with the show he did with the pop magician Antonio Diaz, who will play the 27 and 28 December. Flamenco have much presence in the festival hand Niña Pastori, who triumphed last year with his show “What we want the soul ‘and now it’s January 18th at the Auditorium to play his new album,’ Love me like I am’; as well as the performance of the Seville group always So on April 10 at the Auditorium.
