The exhibition brings together 500 cities, 450 exhibitors and 400 speakers at its fifth and biggest edition
Smart City Expo Barcelona
A micro bus that runs without driver is the most striking novelty of the fifth Smart City Expo in Barcelona, the show dedicated to smart solutions for urban services, open doors Tuesday. This is the larger issue, which for three days will fill the Gran Via exhibition center with 450 exhibitors and 400 speakers from 500 cities worldwide. Also host the awards World Smart City Awards and the end of the Smart City App Hack, a competition application startups launched in March and 15 finalists from seven cities.
The appointment will also feature, in addition to the smart minibus, which will begin operating next year in Singapore and California, with different facilities that display the progress of the sector year. The City Council and the Council will have its own stand to disseminate the progress of local companies with innovative projects in many cases have received municipal support through Barcelona Activa. The session will offer space to 20 firms, and a total of 440 employees and a combined turnover of 40.5 million euros and most take less than 10 years in business. In an annex pavilion Gran Via exhibition BcnRail-Smart Mobility dedicated to the railway industry and longtime exhibitors such as Alstom, Siemens and Bombardier will be held. Among the topics of this year will be the fertilizers transport contactless, cyber security and energy efficiency. In closing, the night of 18 to 19 November TMB will offer a trip on the first convoy that circulated in the city in 1924, connecting stations Sagrada Familia and Sant Antoni L2. T-Mobilitat future, integrated fare system which allows travel throughout Catalonia with a single ticket from 2016 will also be presented.
