The first creative online platform in Barcelona
The basis of the universe, the first 150 Creative map, emerged from a television program called Caràcter, television translation project, which was broadcast on channel 33 between 2014 and 2015 and had the same Ballbè.
The adman Toni Segarra explained that “organizations are increasingly the need to work with creative talent, but also do not know where to find it.” Associated with the network, it has created a media, a digital magazine dedicated to those related to creativity in general and to disseminate the projects of the members of the news platform. Parallel has created TheCreativeLab, a space where meetings, exhibitions, masterclasses and concerts, among other proposals will be organized.
Mateu Hernandez, CEO of Barcelona Global, stressed that the project “is an essential tool for the city”: “We want Barcelona is the best to attract talent, because this will attract economic capital”. Meanwhile, Bibiana Ballbè commented that “the network is born from the need to connect talent with each other” and added that “the creative concept has already dislodged innovation” and therefore seek how to emerge local creativity.
Although the project starts in Barcelona they have an international component and aims to connect with other creative cities like London or New York. TheCreativeNet team, composed of journalists and cultural managers, explained that to keep afloat the platform need an amount of 100,000 euros per year and continue to seek funding from external people and companies who appreciate art in all its disciplines.
