Barcelona’s Diagonal Mar shopping center for sale
The real estate fund has Northwood Investors sale Barcelona’s Diagonal Mar shopping center, one of the largest in Catalonia, announced today the expansion newspaper.
The shopping complex would be on sale for a price of between 300 and 500 million euros, and there would be a possible buyer, a Dutch group that also owns centers Glòries and La Maquinista.
Diagonal Mar, located in Barcelona’s 22 @ district, has about 88,000 square meters, including 27,000 square meters owned by Alcampo, and was opened in 2001.
Northwood Investors in 2014 took control of the complex, which was held by Avestus Capital Partners, for a price of about 150 or 160 million euros, bringing the price now order more than double that of two years ago.
The mall has a wide range of shops, restaurants, cafes and cinemas, plus a bowling alley and 4,800 parking spaces.
