Birth of a new show that includes various specialties of motor sport and competition
Barcelona Motorsport Show
The Montjuïc of Fira de Barcelona will host next December the first edition of Barcelona Motorsport Show, a new show on motor sport for professionals and amateurs sector. Motorsport2020.cat and organized by Fira de Barcelona, the event created with the aim to become a leader in its field internationally and highlight the hegemony of Barcelona as one of the most prominent places.
The fair, which is scheduled to be held from 2 to 4 December encompass sporting disciplines practiced with motorized vehicles, such as racing cars, motorbikes or quads, and expects to have the participation of 50 exhibitors, among which there will be some major brands of vehicles, manufacturers of accessories, components, equipment, championship promoters, representatives of clubs, schools circuits or mechanical. It also aims to boost the market for second hand vehicles competition that will also feature the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya as test track privilege.
Barcelona Motorsport Show is an initiative of Motorsport2020.cat, a joint project of industry cluster d’Automoció de Catalunya (CIAC), the industry cluster Motorcycle Catalonia (Clustermoto) and the cluster Català industry l ‘Esport (Indescat) which aims to enhance the motorsport industry from Catalonia to the world and connect the companies related to this sector.
As the president of the CIAC and the organizing committee of Barcelona Motorsport Show, Vincente Aguilera, “this event aims to reclaim the city of Barcelona as one of the most powerful offices in the world of motorsport and become a meeting point for professionals and fans once the season to prepare for the next. ” He adds: “Barcelona is one of the few capital cities in the world with four rounds of the World Championship: Formula 1, MotoGP, rallycross and the World Rally Championship WRC, an important fact connected to the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, the motor industry and Montjuïc, makes our city a unique venue for the Motorsport Show “.
Director Business owner Fira de Barcelona, Salvador Tasque, stressed that “the celebration of this event is part of the strategy of the institution to organize or co-organize events to support the industry, in this case automotive, and to respond to a demand level of motor sport with a long tradition and great popular following in our country. ”
Among the initiatives to be carried out during the show, include an exclusive space dedicated to the sale of used vehicles racing, with an option for testing at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, and a conference on motorsport. In addition, it matches the Vehicle Show chance Fira de Barcelona, generating synergies between users and motor racing fans.
