The event offers solutions to the challenges that the use of the additive manufacturing industry poses to
From 21 to 23 June 2016, Hall 1 of the Gran Via de Fira de Barcelona will host the first edition of In(3D)ustry, a new international fashion event that will analyze the present and the future of advanced manufacturing and additive, popularly known as printing three-dimensional (3D).
The event, which is defined as a ‘hub’ global, bring together all the segments that make up the ecosystem of advanced and additive manufacturing to promote technological improvement of these innovative systems.
Organised by Fira de Barcelona, the first edition of In (3D) ustry will feature the 30 best companies in the world specializing in additive manufacturing in order to interact with 20 leading companies from various industrial sectors that provide solutions to their specific needs in a Premium event for professionals only.
Thus, in In(3D)ustry participate firms from four user industries (health care, transportation and aeronautics area of cars, and consumer and retail architecture and habitat) to launch its future challenges exhibitors of the event, leading experts in 3D printing which, in turn, will show their success stories and will reveal how this technology can be applied successfully, these four sectors.
The show’s director, Miquel Serrano, said: “In(3D)ustry be an unprecedented event in the world, as it has been designed according to the demands presented, for example, industries such as automotive or health 3D creators machinery to meet the new industrial revolution involving these new manufacturing methods. ”
“This new hub aims to support a rapidly expanding sector, with a meeting that will accelerate this technology and adjust, successfully, to the real needs of consumers and industrial users,” adds Serrano.
In this regard, HP will use its participation in In(3D)ustry to launch in Europe Multi Jet Fusion technology. Vice president and general manager of 3D printing division, Ramon Pastor says that “HP bet decisively by the cutting-edge 3D printing using a disruptive technology to drive collaborative innovation with materials and software partners. To this end, platforms and In(3D)ustry are key elements to allow productive dialogue between all stakeholders in the industry, and to encourage an open discussion to address common challenges that has to face additive manufacturing and advanced “.
In this sense, the event will have an area, the In(3D)ustry Arena, where visitors users of each of the four industry sectors will launch its future challenges exhibitors that show how additive manufacturing is already offering tangible solutions to industries such as aviation or construction, among others.
This area will accommodate all manufacturers that make such a cross as the additive manufacturing sector. Thus, since producers first generation of 3D printers to manufacturers of machine tools, to those companies that have evolved 2D to 3D printing, will be present at the event.
The event will also promote dialogue between sectors In(3D)ustry Talks, where several cases of best solutions will be presented, challenges will arise by companies to manufacturers, they will be held round tables and contacts will be promoted deal.
In this sense, it is designing a discussion forum in which industrial users can express their concerns sectoral needs, standards and regulation of these technologies to the big players in advanced and additive manufacturing, protagonists of the current industrial revolution 4.0.
Dining In(3D)ustry is completed with two competing platforms: the Open Innovation Marketplace, a meeting point between investment companies, users and manufacturers of 3D equipment, Call for Best Solutions, where the 50 best prototypes will be chosen to be exposed during the event in the in(3D)ustry Arena.
The In(3D)ustry Awards reward the best solution presented to the contest.
