The Barcelona Degusta kicks off 2015 with a significant presence of organic products and fair trade

Square Universe of Fira de Barcelona has become these days, a space for trucks kitchen on wheels, also known as food trucks. There are about twenty and offer all kinds of food and drinks. A few meters away, the urban gardens welcome a food festival, Barcelona Degusta , which aims to be a meeting point for lovers of gastronomy.
There are 186 exhibitors brimming over with all types of food, from cheese to meats, nuts and organic bread. Catalan products with denomination of origin and the rest of Spain, moreover, can be tasted.
Besides discover and taste new products also can participate. The fair organized by 90 different activities, and for all ages, some of which are headed by Michelin starred chefs like Joan Roca or Ada Parellada.
Kitchen with food waste
In addition to showing the latest culinary Barcelona Degusta reserve a space for awareness on the use of food. Some NGOs such as Action Against Hunger and Oxfam Intermón have a presence there and put everyone quality products such as sugar, coffee or chocolate, made in other countries and in the best conditions.
BCN & CAKE: The sweetest part of the festival
The Barcelona Degusta has added to its range BCN & CAKE exhibition, fair cakes and pastries considered one of the most important events in southern Europe. Thus the offer is extended in exhibitions chocolates, cakes and sweets.
