Barcelona Pride festival returns with the aim of giving special visibility to trans people. The activity program starts today, LGTB Pride Day with the opening speech at 19h in Universitat Square, but the biggest events the weekend of 8 and 9 July will focus. The Pride Parade, the main activity of the festival, will start on Saturday 9 July at 17h. The demonstration will leave the Plaza de Spain to Paral.lel Avenue, a new route longer ending at 19pm when the head reaches the Moll de la Fusta, where it will be located, as a novelty, the Village and the main stage. After the demonstration, 20h arrive concerts Sajen Lara’s hand, Kym Mazelle and Soren Luka. The Moll de la Fusta also host other important activities the weekend of 8 and 9 July, including sample entities and Pride Kids, space for little ones where they can participate in workshops.

There will also be Heels Race, with a prize of 250 euros for those who reach the finish line first; Miss Drag Pride Gala BCN, with prizes of up to 1,000 euros; and performances by Baccara, Veronica Romero and Sandra Bruman, among others. And for the first time, the Pride Barcelona will host the wedding of a gay couple in the Moll de la Fusta and the famous Indian party colors, Holi festival, with free admission.

The legend turned into art

Gaudí’s architectural gem invites locals to rediscover the symbols of the legend that hides the facade. Literary Barcelona City has been declared by UNESCO to be selected its bid to become a member of the Creative Cities Network as a City of Literature, according to Europa Press sources of the City of Barcelona.

The nomination was made official last July, and the project was developed with the complicity of the Promotion Council of the bid, comprising more than 50 organizations and institutions linked to literature in the city. The chief architect of the Sagrada Familia, Jordi Faulí, planned on Wednesday at the new Creuer Hall of Barcelonian basilica, of the temple designed by Antoni Gaudí, than will be completed in 2026.
