Tesla chooses Barcelona for its headquarters in Spain
The Californian company Tesla, which recently announced the opening of stores in Spain, opt for Barcelona to be the headquarters for Spanish and Portuguese markets, as reflected in the Official Bulletin of the Commercial Registry (Borme) in the edition of Friday 28 October.
The company will be installed with the name Tesla Spain, as a subsidiary of Tesla International BV, and will be dedicated to “distribute electric cars imported” brand and “storage systems energy” as well as “products, parts, accessories and merchandise” related with electric vehicle technology, the company said.
The registration also includes the appointment of Marc Jesus Cerda as president and counselor, as well as Stephan William Werkman and Susan Jean Repo as directors. At the moment the date on which the company will start its activity is unknown.
In early October the company said it will open dealerships in Spain in Barcelona and Madrid, for which it has initiated a search of official employees in their jobs page. In any case, the expansion of the company led by Elon Musk in Spain has a considerable delay compared to the rest of Europe.

The company has published a dozen places ads that cover both Madrid and Barcelona and Lisbon. Among the vacancies there are counselors sales, service managers, product specialists, staff for service, service director (one in each city), product specialist, specialist delivery service or head of communication, among others.
