With the World decided, the Finn Jari-Matti Latvala has everything going for it

The Nordic pilot, who was the fastest in the race held a few weeks ago in France, add 160 points, 34 more than the Norwegian Andreas Mikkelsen (Volkswagen), so it could achieve in Catalunya his second runner-up in the top category of rally world.
Lattvala, however, not have it easy to repeat the victory in the French round. For its part, the Spanish Dani Sordo (Hyundai), tenth overall with 62 points, will have another shot at redemption in the home rally after a somewhat irregular season in which his best result was a third place in Germany.
More exciting category WRC2 is expected in the Qatari Nasser Al-Attiyah, nine points ahead of the Finn Esapekka Lappi, it is one of the favorites to take the test and give an almost definitive step to repeat the title achieved in 2014.
The 51 edition of the rally, the twenty-fifth as FIA world championship will start tomorrow with the classic car exhibition in Barcelona, just before they do the fifteen racers WRC category in the special urban test that will pass through the Montjuïc mountain.
With a tour which has enhanced the difficulty, more sections were added and reduced assists, the Rally RACC Catalunya-Costa Daurada with the participation of 84 drivers, representing a record registered among all categories although only fifteen units correspond to WRC. In this edition they will travel 1280.72 kilometers, of which 331.24 will be speed, spread over twenty special tests, seven of them totally new. A new born with the aim to further enhance the strength, speed, leaving a second term, and thereby increase competition between the teams.
The Friday October 23th will be the longest of the race with the running of the special section of Terra Alta, 35.68 kilometers, which will have asphalt roads and land surface changes up to five hours.
In Saturday’s stage near Salou eight sections and ending with the traditional special which will run along the waterfront of the city of Tarragona they will be made.
The last day will have three special which will be given two runs to score 76.40 kilometers, including Duesaigües section, with the section of Riudecanyes, which will give extra points to the three fastest drivers.
