Future Mercedes cars talk to each other and make your errands
Mercedes-Benz moves forward by leaps and bounds. Last year introduced a concept car wildly futuristic, the F 015, and recently Dieter Zetsche, Chairman of the Board of Management of Daimler, said that in the future their cars act as assistants and will run errands, such as leaving children at school or do some shopping.
Zetsche made the remarks at the fair IFA consumer electronics Berlin (Germany). While these vehicles still here soon, said Mercedes and Bosch have already begun testing the fleet of vehicles that are able to communicate with each other, for a limited time: the experiment is limited to parking maneuvers.
“It works through sensors that can find gaps along a road spaces and then share the information with the database of Mercedes. This information is shared with other Mercedes vehicles, “said Zetsche. If the parking lot is the short-term goal, future plans include cars communicate with each other on the way to the vehicle to be able to choose the most efficient route to reach the destination before.
In addition to offering faster trips and help you find parking, the Mercedes of the future will also act as a doctor, “the car will use its sensors to monitor the health and welfare of passengers, and then adjust settings to improve their situation and blood pressure. “This means that future cars will probably adapt lighting (both color and brightness) along with music and volume according to the physical and emotional state of the occupants.
The future is approaching by leaps and bounds but the question that comes to mind is this: human beings will still be actively drive their vehicles? According to Zetsche, yes. “But that moment will always be associated to driving the car for pleasure”.
