The Rolling Stones will visit Barcelona in September
The Rolling Stones have announced today that they will perform at Barcelona’s Estadi Olímpic on September 27, at the only concert in Spain on their autumn Stones-No Filter tour, according to the promoter Doctor Music.
Stones-No Filter, which will tour the stadiums throughout Europe during the months of September and October, is the continuation of the South American tour that took place last year and culminating in the historic concert in Havana.
Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Charlie Watts and Ronnie Wood will return to the road with a repertoire full of classics such as Gimme Shelter, Paint It, Black, Jumpin ‘Jack Flash, Tumbling Dice and Brown Sugar.
In addition, each night will include a couple of surprise themes chosen randomly from their large repertoire, which they will perform in a spectacular setting, according to the promoter of the event.
“I’m very excited to be touring Europe this fall, repeating some scenery and performing for the first time in others,” Mick Jagger said in a statement.
Tickets for the Barcelona concert can only be purchased online at 10:00 am on Tuesday, May 16, through doctormusic.com and ticketmaster.es.
These will be nominal tickets and each buyer will be able to purchase a maximum of eight, which must be in the name of one of the concert attendants and whose price will vary between 86 and 290 euros (distribution costs not included).
In the last twelve months, the Rolling Stones have released the album Blue Lonesome, a return to their blues roots, which has topped the charts in fifteen countries.
They have also produced a documentary entitled Olé Olé Olé !, directed by Paul Dudgale and which tells of a trip through South America.
