Port Aventura will have in 2017 the highest accelerator Europe with a circuit length of 880 meters
With an investment of nearly one hundred million euros, Ferrari Land, the new theme park PortAventura opens doors in 2017. It will have an area of 60,000 square meters and the first virtual images show in more detail how they will be the main attractions, such as the vertical accelerator 112 meters high, will become the tallest roller coaster in Europe, surpassing Shambhala (76 meters). An accelerator propel passengers at a speed of 180 kilometers per hour in just five seconds to reach 112 meters high and then fall sharply, with a maximum slope of 90 degrees at a distance of 880 meters.
Coinciding with the rebranding, PortAventura World Parks Resort today launched its new multi-device web page that has a special section dedicated to Ferrari Land, with unpublished content, showing for the first time how will be the future theme park, the first of Ferrari in Europe. In addition to the accelerator (the star attraction), the park will also feature two towers rebound over 55 meters with two-way launch a family racing circuit of 570 meters eight simulators, six for adults and two for children .
With a theming that revolves around the characteristic red color of the brand, the park will also feature recreation of iconic Italian monuments like the Colosseum, the Scala or the Campanile of San Marcos. As for the cuisine, there will trattorias and inspired by real factory building where Enzo Ferrari store exclusive brand products will be built will be located.
Ferrari Land, PortAventura World Parks Resort will become the European destination with a greater number of parks, three in total (Port Aventura Parks, Caribe Aquatic Parky Ferrari Land), an offer that is expected to exceed the current four million visitors annually, half of which coming from the international market. “The growth experienced by the resort along these has generated a need to relaunch a brand considering their current and future projection,” maintains Giovanni Cavalli, CEO of PortAventura Business. The park, which closed on January 6 its twentieth season, will open doors next March 18.
