IE and IESE enter the ‘top 10’ of the world’s most prestigious MBAs

The full-time MBA (Master in Business Administration) of IE Business Schools and IE Business School are among the ten most prestigious and elite in the world, according to the ‘Global MBA Ranking of 2017’ prepared by the Financial Times.
In particular, the IE Business School occupies the eighth position and the IESE Business School is placed in the tenth place. Among the top twenty in the world is another Spanish program, Esade’s full-time MBA, which ranks 17th.
The British daily values the professional development of the students, the salary evolution or the international experience of the students for the elaboration of this ranking. The list is dominated by American schools, adding up to five of the top ten. However, the French school Insead leads the ranking for the second consecutive year. Among the top ten positions are also the MBAs of two British schools, with the same weight as those of the Spanish ones.
As for Spanish schools, the IE Business School’s full-time MBA ranks four places among the best in the world to eighth place in 2017 compared to the previous year. For his Deputy Dean, Erik Schlie, “this result reflects the quality of our MBA,” adding that “at the International MBA we propose a technology-supported training ecosystem. Students can design their program to measure, with an entrepreneurial and transformative approach, depending on their profile and professional development plans. ”
Students at the IE Business School MBA can choose from 150 courses or participate in three-month exchange programs at other business schools around the world, in order to broaden their vision and respond to different challenges. For its part, the IESE Business School MBA is one of the full-time programs with the highest number of positions, up to 10th place, compared to its 16th place in 2016.
The diversity of nationalities and teachers, as well as the tailor-made design of programs and their requirements, are some of the most interesting qualities of Spanish MBAs. “All this contributes to our students graduating having lived a unique experience in which an authentic global immersion combined with intensive modules in the different relevant markets exists today,” said the director and professor of the IESE MBA Carlos García-Pont.
