Badalona hosts a European Championship high-speed vessels
European Championship Powerboat-Badalona
From Friday to Sunday, the Port of Badalona hosts the European Championships Endurance mode Motonáutica of Class B, for four categories (Promotion, Production Boat, S2 and S1). This mode groups arising from the construction vessels in series of not more than 8 meters.
To accommodate all kinds of speedboats, the regulation provides propulsion with one or two outboard engines or interiors, establishing different categories depending on the installed power, to allow the victory to craft different powers.
Thus there is the Promotion class, reserved for vessels with no more than 150 horsepower, but there is also a category called S1 which easily surpass 400 horses.
This is the third time that a competition of its kind in Badalona is celebrated after vied in 2012 and 2014 world championships on the same stage.
The best places to see the tests are the steps of the seawall of the port and the dock Petroleum. The quetx Ciutat Badalona scheduled on Saturday May 28 two exits to follow the evidence closely. Reservations can be made online at this site.
