Barcelona will hold from May 20 to 26 its first Architecture Week 2017, which, through dissemination of architectural activity, knowledge and debate, aims to “contribute to reinforcing the value of the urban environment built for citizens” , as reported by the consistory.
The initiative is promoted by the Barcelona City Council, the Catalan College of Architects (COAC) and the Mies van der Rohe Foundation, in collaboration with Barcelona Building Construmat and ARQUINFAD.
The program of events includes cinema and architecture cycles, conferences, routes, contests and broadcast spaces for all districts.,
In the framework of this week, Victoria Eugenia Palace will open the public to exhibit the works nominated for the European Union Prize for Contemporary Architecture Award Mies van der Rohe, which will be delivered on the 26th in the closing party.
